Vittorio Loreto is Professor in Physics at the Physics Dept. of "La Sapienza" University in Rome. His scientific activity is mainly focused on the statistical mechanics of non equilibrium and complex systems. Specific research fields: granular media, complexity and information theory, complex networks, semiotic dynamics, simple models for communication and language evolution. He is the general coordinator of the European STREP project TAGora
(www.tagora-project.eu) as well as the coordinator for the Physics Dept. of La Sapienza Univ. of the European Integrated Project ECAgents (www.ecagents.org ). He is author of over 80 papers in international refereed journals among which 1 in Nature, 1 in PNAS and 11 in Phys. Rev. Letters.
